Vision Pro's New Ultrawide Display: A Game-Changer for MacBook Productivity
Hey, have you heard about the latest update for Apple’s Vision Pro? They just added an ultrawide virtual display feature in beta, and it’s amazing! You can now stretch the display to wide or even ultrawide views, which basically lets you transform a little MacBook into a total productivity beast. Imagine having two side-by-side 16:9 monitors, but with no annoying seam in between. It’s like having a massive monitor that you can take anywhere!
But, here’s the catch—MacOS window management really doesn’t do this setup justice. You only get basic options, so resizing windows on the ultrawide display is a pain. Luckily, third-party window managers like Rectangle are lifesavers here. With it, I can set up a main app in the center and keep less important apps on the sides. It’s honestly the closest thing I’ve had to my dual monitor setup, but in VR!
Apple still has some work to do to make this perfect, but this update definitely makes Vision Pro even more exciting. Just imagine this setup in a few years when the headset’s lighter and cheaper—working from anywhere will be a whole new experience!
