Hey, did you hear Meta’s allowing its AI models to be used for U.S. military purposes now? It’s a big shift for them! Their models, called Llama, will be open to government agencies and defense contractors like Lockheed Martin and Palantir. Meta says this is all about “responsible and ethical” innovation to support America and democratic allies. It’s interesting, especially since they’ve always kept military uses off-limits. But with the global AI race heating up, they’re eager to support U.S. interests and keep ahead. Not everyone’s happy about it, though—these moves usually spark a lot of debate in Silicon Valley.
