A Satirical Play Puts Bezos in the Hot Seat at BU
So, Boston Playwrights’ Theatre is kicking off their new season with a wild satire that absolutely roasts Jeff Bezos! The play, How to Not Save the World with Mr. Bezos by Maggie Kearnan, imagines an alternate reality where Bezos faces a law limiting personal wealth to under a billion dollars, thanks to Bernie Sanders. The interview-style play features a Fact Checker character to separate the made-up stuff from the jaw-dropping truths about Bezos’ wealth.
But it doesn’t stop there—things spiral out of control, putting Bezos in some seriously bizarre situations. It’s a clever, biting commentary on wealth inequality, and the director, Taylor Stark, promises it’ll be laugh-out-loud funny and eye-opening. If you’re into sharp, socially aware humor, this one’s definitely worth checking out !
