So, get this—Apple can’t sell the iPhone 16 in Indonesia right now! It’s because the country has strict local manufacturing rules, and Apple hasn’t fully complied. They’re required to either use 40% local components or invest a certain amount in Indonesia. To fix this, Apple just proposed a $10 million investment to produce accessories and parts in Bandung, but here’s the kicker: the Indonesian government says they still owe $15 million more based on earlier promises!

Meanwhile, competitors like Samsung and Vivo are already manufacturing locally, so they’re in the clear. Apple’s offer might seem small for such a massive market, but they’re pushing to meet government standards and get the iPhone back on shelves. If all goes well, Indonesians might be able to grab the iPhone 16 soon!
