Sony’s Surprising Move: PS VR Adaptors Discontinued for PS5 Compatibility

Hey, did you hear? Sony just announced they’re stopping the supply of that essential adaptor that lets PS VR work on the PS5. If you’re a PS VR owner and want to keep playing those games on your PS5, you have only two weeks left to claim one before November 26 or until supplies run out. It’s a bit of a shock since, without this adaptor, there’s no official way to play original PS VR games on the PS5.
They’ve put a lot of focus on the new PS VR2, which isn’t backward compatible with older VR games. And although they recently dropped the PS VR2 price and even released a PC adaptor for it, this decision really leaves PS VR1 players out in the cold if they don’t grab that adaptor in time.
