Dixon and Nokia’s Bold Push for India’s Broadband Revolution
Hey, did you hear? Dixon Technologies has teamed up with Nokia to start making fixed broadband devices right here in India! It’s huge—they’ve set up a massive manufacturing facility in Noida and are planning to pump out up to 10 million broadband devices a year. They’re focusing on some really advanced stuff, like 5G Fixed Wireless Access, GPON, and Mesh Wi-Fi devices that can hit speeds of up to 1 gigabit per second!
What’s amazing is that Nokia’s R&D team in Chennai is behind the design, while Dixon’s handling the production. This partnership alone is expected to create around 3,000 jobs, which is such a win for the local economy. Dixon’s leadership is saying this is a major move toward making India self-reliant in electronics, and Nokia’s all about pushing digital transformation in Indian homes. It’s exciting to think how this could totally reshape broadband access here, especially with all the 5G rollouts happening now!
