Google’s Legal Battle, AI's Nuclear Power Push, and Perplexity’s Big Fundraising Move
Guess what’s heating up in tech news? Google is in the middle of a serious antitrust battle with Epic Games. A U.S. judge ruled that Google must open up its Play Store to competitors, letting third-party apps in and allowing alternative payment methods. Google’s fighting back, saying it could mess with user privacy and security, but Epic’s been on their case since 2020!
Also, AI giants like Google and Microsoft are eyeing nuclear energy to power their ambitious data centers. Nuclear is clean and reliable, but environmentalists aren’t too happy, especially with talks of reopening sites like the infamous Three Mile Island.
And on top of all that, AI startup Perplexity is aiming to raise $500 million in funding, trying to push its valuation past $8 billion! They’ve had some legal bumps over plagiarism issues, but they’re still moving forward. Big moves in the tech world!
