Pinterest Introduces Enhanced AI Ad Tools for Advertisers
Pinterest has unveiled a series of new features aimed at improving ad performance and simplifying campaign management for advertisers. The standout addition is the "Performance+" tool, an AI-based system designed to automate and optimize Promoted Pin campaigns. According to Pinterest, early tests indicate that Performance+ can boost cost per acquisition (CPA) and cost per click (CPC) by over 10%, while also cutting campaign creation time by half.
In addition, Pinterest is enhancing creative customization with AI-powered background generation for product images. This feature personalizes backgrounds to match user preferences, offering a more tailored shopping experience. The AI adapts the style of the product images to align with individual users' aesthetic tastes, potentially increasing engagement.
Another notable update is the integration of the "Shuffles" app functionality into Pinterest ads. This will allow advertisers to create collages with tagged products, promoting them as Showcase or Collection ads. This interactive format aims to make ads more shoppable and engaging, enhancing discoverability and brand interaction.
These advancements are part of Pinterest’s "Ad Labs" program, which invites select brands to experiment with new AI-driven ad tools and provide feedback for future improvements. Through these innovations, Pinterest aims to solidify its position as a valuable platform for online shopping and advertising.
